Medical Terms

When using medical or scientific terms, if you are not sure of a word, try using the latin-based English word, as this is more likely to be understood by a Portuguese speaker. For example, instead of saying 'breathing', say 'respiration' (which is closer to the Portuguese word 'respiração'), or instead of 'womb', say 'uterus' (which is closer to the Portuguese word 'útero').
